Ladie Butterfly's Bus Conversion

Paneling, Odds & Ends so far

Picture
One of the emegency windows above the kitchen sink. Plus two outlets on each side of the window.  I took the drivers seat out to get to the water heater hoses, finally got that all back in place so its just a matter of finding a nice drivers seat. The paneling at the end of the bunks was up in no time flat only needed to do a little triming to it to make it fit. In the kitchen area we have a propane stove and frig. For storage at the front I put in a dresser and hooked it to the frame to secure it. At the very front we put together a panel from tongue and grove. I got that in and srewed down. Got paneling up around the dinette. The electrical will be under the left seat next to the kitchen counter.  As you can see I keep everything in the bus because my brother has taken over the garage with his bikes which is fine then I know where everything is then. Two things remain that I need to get in before running any lines for propane and that is my heater and water heater.  Not sure if I want to cut more holes in her to fit them in. If I want hot water and heat it will have to be done.

Heater and Hoses

Picture
This is a drwaing of what I had after the heater at the back of the bus was removed. The one hose just looped around and back to the heater , so i took all the extra hose out and reconnected it. These pictures are of  before and after the work was done. Boy did i have a mess. I found a mouse nest too thank goodness that there weren't any mice in it.

Electrical

Picture
The start of the wiring. This breaker box was put in and wired up to  two outlets and to the cord to plug into shore power. This was so we wouldn't have to run extention cord for garage and get it tangled or have it come up short. With the two outlets wired and hooked into the ceiling down the center of the bus we had limited power. We could plug in couple of lights and extention cord to run tools and then work at night if we needed too. During the summer when it cools down at night will be the best time to work. I hope. Now it is a matter of learning how to wire in 12 volt, convertor, invertor and the batteries. I want to use 4 6volt deep cycle golf cart batteries. Who knows if i will boondock but I want to be prepared.

Heating duct from the bus heater.

Took the old bus venting/duct and ran it from the heater at the drivers side. Ran it under the bench seat and under the table area for  better flow of air and heat.
